Following a moment of frustration that came in the form of an October Tweet, in which SZA expressed a wish to quit music, the singer smoothed things over in a follow up interview, discussing her questionable future in music but also plans for another album. While she didn’t provide an exact date, the implication given all the work she had put in implied an early 2017 release.
Last night, the CEO for her label, Top Dawg Entertainment, Anthony Tiffith, posted an Instagram video in which the caption read, “Watts up world! I just walked in to the offfice.. it’s time to work on my 2017 release schedule… @sza are u ready 2 get them off my head?”
The video shows Tiffith walking through his office, which ends at his desk panning in on a notepad that reads “2017 releases.”
Once again, no exact release date, but it looks like SZA’s album will be the next one Top Dawg releases.
As for SZA, she hasn’t said much other than to Tweet she’s ready for 2017. That might be because at the moment she’s busy resting and relaxing on what looks like a very fab Hawaiian vacation.
