Update: Kim Kardashian today also posted her first Instagram image (below) in over three months. The caption reads simply: “Family.”
Throughout December, Kim Kardashian West made little appearances here and there, indicating she was ready to enter back into the limelight after being traumatized by a home-invasion robbery in Paris in October. A lot of her appearance have appeared on other people’s social media accounts, but today she published a video on her YouTube channel and app that has to be viewed as her official return to a public life.
Set to Jeremih’s sweet single “Paradise,” the video is a look at her family that opens with her dancing and kissing her husband, Kanye West, and follows with previously unreleased video of North and Saint West (taking his first steps!) as the family goes about everyday home life, plus some footage from their attendance at West’s New York Fashion Week presentation and the the MTV Video Music Awards. Clips include a post-hospital, blond West.
Style wise, in the scene with Saint taking his first steps, make note that Kardashian is wearing a pair of Adidas Originals Calabasas joggers, which are said to be a part of a collection the Kardashian and West are releasing together. No date has yet been set for the launch.
In many ways, the video is a continuation of the one West made for Kardashian for her birthday (below), and in fact includes a clip of her watching his video with tears in her eyes.
In addition to a hello to her fan base, it might also be viewed as a message from Kardashian in response to all the chatter that her relationship with West is on the rocks.
