In tribute to its 50 year design history, Vans is releasing the Anaheim Factory pack, a collection of Classic silhouettes inspired by the original footwear produced when the brand was founded in 1966. Established as a 400-square-foot store front in Anaheim, California, the space was connected to the production factory, which produced a a handful of simple canvas footwear designs.
All of the shoes included in the Anaheim Factory pack speak to styles and details reflective of Vans shoes made in the first two decades of its existence. Style numbers are used to signify the original design mold of three models, the Authentic 44, Old Skool 36 and Sk8-Hi 38.
Each style utilizes a marshmallow sidewall with a higher profile and is treated with a slight sheen that was used after going through Vans’ early vulcanization process. The collection features heavy a 10 ounce canvas and the Sidestripe models have a suede toe cap, heel counter and eyestay. All colorways including the racing red, mineral green and light grey could have been found when you visited the original Anaheim Factory store.
In a node to modern comfort, Vans each silhouette added a UltraCushÔ footliner to all of the silhouettes.
The Anaheim Factory pack ranges from $75- $85 and is available to shop globally in Vans retail stores and online at vans.com/classics now.
