Keeping her head down and focused on the music, Azealia Banks has reemerged with a new single, titled “Chi Chi,” whose lyrics reference a bloody shoot out scene in Scarface, in which Tony Montano directs his friend Chi Chi to secure the bags of “yayo” aka cocaine.
In “Chi Chi,” Harlem-born Banks flashes her effortless and distinct flow in a song underpinned by a thick bass, which provides the song with a heavier sound and feel than prior projects.
Whatever you want to say about Banks hi jinks, she her sound is uniquely her own and no one else sounds remotely like her.
p.s. Banks is back on Twitter (where “Chi Chi” was trending today) though it looks as though the platform has zapping her attempts to get back on the platform.
