Future Hendrix aka Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn has released the video for “You Da Baddest, featuring Nicki Minaj. While not originally part of Future’s HNDRXX album, it has since been added as a bonus track.
Directed by Benny Boom, the video was shot Miami in February, during a period when Minaj was filming multiple videos, including “Regret in Your Tears,” “No Frauds” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla,” among others, all of which have been out for at least two months.
There are all possible reasons Future dragged his feet on dropping the video. Maybe he had other priorities to take care of first or perhaps he wasn’t super pumped about the song.
Minaj’s verses are good, and to her credit the video takes the vast majority of its life from her eye-popping two looks.
The first ensemble was anchored on a striking red, cut out Bao Tranchi bodysuit (a favorite label of Minaj and Jennifer Lopez) worn with Gianvito Rossi boots, a Courreges red visor and accessories by Zana Bayne, Lace by Tanaya and Lynn Ban. Her silver look included an Agent Provocateur skirt with eyewear by A-Morir. The fetching fur is by Christian Siriano. All fashion details via @onikaswardrobe.
Earlier today (July 29,2017) had an exchange on Twitter about the video with her fans and she described it as favorite video.
