In a bit of an oddball appearance, Harlem singer/songwriter Azealia Banks visited Fox 5 in New York and performed her single “The Big Big Beat,” a bop of a single from her 2016 mixtape “Slay Z” that showcases her wide-ranging vocal talent.
Backed by two dancers for the performance, Banks wore a white, two-piece set designed by Jay Davincii.
Banks also sat with the hosts and discussed launching her own record label, Chaos & Glory Recordings, wanting to work with 50 Cent and her collaboration with Iggy Azalea, which at the moment appears to be stalled.
Banks also spoke about her Cheapy XO skincare offerings, including her popular Miss Camaraderie retinoic acid face soap.
As to why she wore black gloves during the performance and interview, Banks said she’s an “energyphobe” and wears them to keep out other people’s bad energy.
