Champs Sports “Her Take” host Steph Lecor checked in with sneaker blogger, influencer and author Jazerai Allen-Lord aka Jazzy Rae, who is in the midst of planning a wellness festival called Trillfest (more info at trillfest.splashthat.com) and will be featured in an upcoming book, “Sneakers,” edited by Rodrigo Corral, Howie Kahn and Alex French.
In the episode Allen-Lord explained how she got involved with her Chicks on Fire sneaker blog, and also provided some feedback on what she’d like to see sneaker companies offer women. “Designing with women in mind, stop giving us purple and pink,” said Allen-Lord. “Also, You don’t have to put metallic diamonds all over it. You don’t have to make it glittery. None of that matters. You don’t have to put a purse with it. I just want the same thing you give the boys.”
