Gucci is ready for the holiday shopping, unveiling a curated selection of gifts including t-shirts, shoes, handbags, jewelry, as well as items from its newly launched home collection. The roll out has been announced through a digital campaign featuring the work of Spanish artist Ignasi Monreal, who has released a book of his illustrations in collaboration with Gucci.
On the partnership with Monreal, Gucci explained in pa ress release, “Using the backdrop of familiar places, the Spanish artist conjures up dreamlike new worlds where Gucci accessories and ready-to-wear are depicted on unexpected characters. Florence’s panorama features a UFO flying above the cupola of the Santa Maria del Fiore. Originally a plane factory called Caproni, Ignasi reworks the Gucci Hub space in Milan with the Trojan Horse positioned between offices and Pegasus in the parking lot.”
Monreal has been working on special projects with Gucci since 2015 and his work was featured on t-shirts included in the label’s cruise 2018 collection, which are a part of the holiday collection.
