Supreme has tapped The Diplomats member and Harlemite Juelz Santana aka LaRon Louis James to model its latest collaboration with Timberland, a two boot capsule that includes a black boot as well as a wheat version. The wheat version features a red and blue American flag graphic while the black one is tone on tone.
Naturally, Supreme is working off of Timberland’s famed six-inch model, considered a classic among city-based fashion aficionados.
The choice of Santana will add fuel to rumors that Supreme is planning another collaboration with Harlem music crew The Diplomats, a pairing that original took place in 2006 with a Supreme photo box logo t-shirt featuring Jim Jones and Juelz Santana.
Rapper Cam’ron heads up The Diplomats and until recently had been feuding with member Jim Jones. Given that the group reunited with a concert at Hammerstein Ballroom last night (November 21, 2017), the timing couldn’t be more perfect for a revisit of the concept.
The boots will be sold at Supreme’s online store and brick and mortar locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Los Angeles, London and Paris on November 24, 2017. Japan’s Supreme stores will receive the shoes on November 25th.
