Have no fear sneaker lovers, even if you’ve taken multiple Ls in an attempt to obtain a Nike and Off-White collaborative shoe, it looks like there will be restocks on the VaporMax in 2018. Already, two colorways have emerged, a navy blue and a white shoe. And while there’s no guarantee these precise colors will be put into production, you can pretty much guarantee the collabo will return next year.
Meanwhile, Nike has issued a statement apologizing for the glitchiness of its SNKR app, which went into meltdown mode when the brand attempted to sell “The Ten” (actually “The Nine”) on Monday (November 20, 2017).
In the statement, Nike said it was hit by an “unprecedented level of demand during the launch of The Ten collection on the SNKRS app today and the shoes sold out in minutes. We always strive for the best consumer experience and we’ll continue to learn from issues that some consumers face today to help us continuously improve.”
Nike has talked a very big game about all the money it’s investing to grow direct sales to customers and even if demand was “unprecedented,” it’s surprising it was caught so flat-footed by a launch that it knew would draw a ton of traffic.
