Louis Vuitton provided some previews of Virgil Abloh’s debut collection, which will be live-streamed from Paris on June 21, 2018.
With a caption reading “color as a metaphor,” the label previewed a tone-on-tone look comprised of a blue jacket, pants, PVC backpack and nylon sneakers paired with an orange top.
In addition to LV, Abloh is also designing Off-White women’s for resort 2019 and men’s for spring 2019. Australian fashion editor Christine Centenera is said to be assisting him with the Louis Vuitton collection.
As Louis Vuitton’s first black designer, Abloh’s debut collection is generating enormous buzz. At the same, No Vacancy Inn founder Tremaine Emory, who’s worked on projects with Abloh and Kanye West, plainly (and accurately) wrote on Twitter, “FYI yall the off white show is just as important as the Louie v show!”
