After previewing tracks from SZA and Rome Gordon, DJ Kitty today released Love The Free Vol II, which included an unanticipated track from Willow Smith titled “8,” a number that speaks to the singer’s burgeoning interest in numerology.
Given its artsy nature, the song may be viewed as a departure for Smith who is best known for her pop song “Whip My Hair,” but for those who have followed her moves more closely, it makes sense that she’s gone in a more off beat direction.
For Cash, “Love The Free Volume II” has further burnished her reputation for recognizing impressive new talent, which is coupled with an ability to bring them all together on a shared platform.
