Saint Heron is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the platform with the launch of Small Matter, an online boutique. Starting October 5, 2018, the store will feature a weekly rotation of designers, artists and musicians whose merchandise will be available on the site for one week. Some of the offerings will be exclusive to Small Matter.
The first week will feature items from Phlemuns, Deanna Lawson Telfar, Folie, Luar, Mowalola, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Linea Germania, Omondi, Ashya, Tawan KB Studio, L’Enchanteur, Matte Brand, Lorna Simpson, Tactile Matter, Renell Medrano, Micaiah Carter, Lone Laurel, Screwed Up Records & Tapes and Blood Orange.
In a statement on Twitter, the company stated, “Saint Heron was birthed five years ago out of the need to create our own platform where the connectivity with a like minded tribe could flourish and exist. We are nothing with out you and this community, and we are so appreciative for you and this journey.”
As an independent company we have learned so much along the way, and we thank you for allowing us the space to evolve and grow with us. Saint Heron was and is still purely about building the community in which we want to see exist and experience through engagement with art, music, and collaboration, and we look forward to expanding and continuing to build upon this ethos.”
