Ambush’s Yoon Ahn Previews Nike Capsule, Launching December 6th

December 5, 2018 update: NikeLab x Ambush apparel will launch on December 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM EST on nike.com. You must be a NikePlus account member with credit card info and mobile number loaded in your account info. Nike is using “line check out” for this launch. According to instructions you choose the item at launch time in order to get in line. If your turn comes up, Nike will complete your order.

Before getting in line, make sure you do the following:
1. Sign in to NikePlus
2. Confirm your payment info is updated.
3. Verify your mobile number in account setting.

Offerings include a reversible faux fur jacket ($500) in jade (style code: AQ9225-390) and black (style code: AQ9225-010); a reversible metallic jacket ($300) in black/silver (style code: AQ9228-010) or phantom/gold (style code:  AQ9228-030); track pants ($200, style code: AQ9230-030) in phantom; a bodysuit ($125) in black (style code: AQ9229-010) or phantom (AQ9229-030); and a cropped top ($75) in black (style code: AQ9226-010) or white (style code: AQ9226-030).

December 3, 2018 update: According to Ambush, clothing will launch on December 6th on nike.com in Europe and December 8th in Tokyo with a “mid-December” timing for North America. The capsule will also be available at Ambush Warehouse locations. We are hearing the faux fur jacket is priced at £425/$540.

The collection includes an AirMax 180 silhouette that will drop in spring 2019.

There are lots and lots of collaborations out there (too many tbh), but Ambush designer Yoon Ahn’s effort with Nike is one we are legit excited about. The partnership was announced in September and today Ahn previewed a celery green faux fur jacket from the collection, as well as a pair of Nike Air Max 180 sneakers.

On Instagram, Ahn wrote, “A year and a half in the making … @nike x @ambush_official. The campaign shoot is tomorrow and I’d like to mention the fur jacket is reversible.”

More of the collection will be revealed today (November 13, 2018) on @ambush_official’s Instagram live.

Puma and New York-based fashion brand LaQuan Smith Puma and New York-based fashion brand LaQuan Smith are back with their second collaboration, this time inspired by the glitz and grit of the boxing ring. 

The campaign stars Ming Lee Simmons, dressed in satin-finished boxing shorts, cropped jackets, and tear-away pants with luxe details.

The capsule also includes two Speedcat silhouettes, including the Speedcat Mid, a high-ankle boxing sneaker. 

Priced between $80-$100, the Puma x LaQuan Smith collection launches on March 15 on puma.com, the Puma NYC and Las Vegas flagship stores, and select retailers including Foot Locker and Shoe Palace.

Taking inspiration from a feminine Y2K aesthetic, the collection embodies designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s ability to balance sexy and cool. 

In an interview with Vogue, the pair shared that they are currently working on a new design director role in Europe and have several other projects in the pipeline, including another denim project, a collaboration with a jewelry brand, and a menswear capsule for an e-commerce site.

Commenting on the lookbook styling, they shared, "Obviously in the lookbooks it's styled in a quite extreme way, but if you break it down into individual pieces, we've been thinking about merchandising and the customer more than ever before," said Arsenault. "We've seen the team in the studio wearing the pieces differently too, and we've taken that into account. It's a nice challenge to say: 'Okay, we want to make a sweatshirt, but it still has this silhouette or wash or rib detail that makes it feel really Knwls."
