Jhené Aiko has dropped a new freestyle titled “Wasted Love,” currently available on her Soundcloud account. In a Twitter post announcing the new music, she added a broken heart and throw-up emoji, hinting that her relationship with Big Sean is either over or remains tumultuous.
The song also hints at trouble in paradise with chorus lyrics, “How did we get away from love? How did love get away from us? Not my time, I should wait for love. Waste of time, what a waste of love,” foll0wed by the hint of a painful split with the lines, “Only been a week I think I’m weak can’t even. I can’t even eat, can’t sleep, when we ain’t speakin’. What you telling me boy that’s a real weak reason. You cut me so deep, it hurts for me to breathe in.”
Aiko in mid-November 2018 made news when it was revealed she had covered up a tattoo of Sean on her arm, though she said it was because she replaced Sean’s head along with several tattoos with a winged dragon. She added, “NEW ART! NO BEEF! ALL LOVE!”
