SZA has released the Nabil Elderkin-shot video for “Supermodel,” her third visual from her CTRL album (“Drew Barrymore” and “Love Galore” came first).
The song is themed on the fall out from a breakout and shows SZA in a forest, gaining some cheer from a group of magical children. SZA has shown a propensity for contrasting messages and in the video the lightness of fairy dust and children is offset by a scene is which her ex is taken down by firecrackers.
The singer/songwriter gives up plenty of gymnast bod in the video, wearing all black (as styled by Dianne Garcia), including a CTRL thong (no, it’s not among her current selection of merch) with a cropped t-shirt, with a marabou negligee and high heels.
