Levi’s previewed its Spring 2014 collection at Milk Studios last night, and as always it was a beautifully presented collection with a set up (approachable cool models smartly styled with backdrop of photogenic displays of jeans and tops) that makes great blog-friendly images almost automatic.
The “Revel” jeans shown above were a bit hit, both for their ability to put one’s derriere in the best light possible but also because they were paired with Manohlo Blahniks for an all around very sharp look.
This time around we couldn’t help but sense that Levi’s at the moment is really “feeling” itself–after all, with denim cuts and styles returning to good ole all American classic looks and premium-priced denim a struggle, the brand is in a sweet spot for trends and price. Enjoying the high times, it appears Levi’s is working to enrich the brand further by continuing collaborative programs and creating denim styles whose quality is brought to the forefront via distinctive stitching or embroidery, none of it very flashy with an emphasis more on quality detail that emerges upon further inspection.
