Kenyan-born Malaika Firth‘s star continues on the fast track. The 19-year-old was just revealed as landing the cover of British Vogue‘s November shopping insert, a spot that was preceded by a Prada ad appearance, making her the first black model to land a campaign spot with the label since Naomi Campbell almost 19 years ago.
Born to a Kenyan mother and British father, the 19-year-old Firth moved to the United Kingdom at a young age. As gorgeous as she is, one would guess she would have been scouted, but it was her mother who reached out to an agency after seeing a documentary on modeling.
