Woolrich has always been a go-to name in outerwear because of its consistent delivery of style married with functionality. Even still, it’s been a tough couple of years in the outerwear business, with demand hurt by weather and a fashion trend of seasonless dressing epitomized by an explosion in layering pieces and fleece sales. It appears, however, that the category is very much on the comeback trail, with brand leaders like Woolrich enticing customers with coats and jackets featuring lighter silhouettes, the latest technical fabrics, plus fashionable new color themes and details like military fabrics, quilting and fur. Attractive enough that even without a repeat of the brutal winter experienced in the Northeast and Midwest this year, style lovers are sure to be enticed.
