“Open City Mixtape” is a stunning thought provoking series of short fictional portraits and documentaries by emerging female filmmaker A.V. Rockwell. Shot entirely in black and white, the series takes the format of a mixtape to present the tough, beautiful and even cruel reality of New York’s inner city. Enjoy the portrait of Indigo,a young New York City dweller with roots in Sudan, as she shares her experiences and thoughts on living in the United States. We’re thoroughly smitten with this this project, which was produced by Amy Collado.
