Top Dawg Entertainment signee SZA aka Solána Imani Rowe has released her “Z” EP, a much-anticipated project that plays her soulful vocals against spiraling beats, making for an aural sound that’s as hypnotic as it is enjoyable.
Tracks includes features via Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad. A personal favorite is “Julia,” a song whose lyrics speak to disillusion and sadness, contrasting with the Xanadu dance feel of the music.
