Adidas has revealed more details for its collaboration with Rita Ora (see a picture of her wearing part of the collection below), who will be the first female musical artist [Note: while included in press, this is not accurate, Teyana Taylor was the first musical artist] collaborating on a collection with the brand. In an interview with WWD, Ora revealed she has always loved sneakers.
“I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”
The line will come in five different capsules rolling out with three global launch days as follows: August 21st: the Black line; September 4th: the Pastel and Colorblock lines, and November 1st: the Spray and Roses lines. The items will include shoes, apparel, outerwear and accessories ranging in price from $30 for a beanie to $500 for a leather varsity jacket. Adidas’s partnership with Ora will include three collections and go through Autumn 2015.
