Adidas once again hosted its creative-centric Fanatic soccer tournament, held for the second year in a row on Pier 5 on the beautiful Brooklyn water front. The event offered free food and drink, the amazing backdrop of the East River and the lower Manhattan skyline, all under perfect blue skies for one of those amazing days that makes New York City summer’s legendary.
We were there to cheer on our home slice crew, The Good Life (who went 4-1 and made it to the semi-finals); other teams included BLK DNM, Opening Ceremony, Complex Media, Miss Lily’s (whose lineup included NBA great Steve Nash), among others. The event is the perfect marriage of sport and style with a field of teams as much competing for jersey style points as goals, players and fans that make for a style photographer’s dream.
