Young talent DJ Kitty Cash has announced July 22, 2014 as the launch date for her “Love The Free II” mixtape, featuring a lineup of heavy hitters including SZA, Dev Hynes, Yuna, Rainy Milo, Empress Of, Bipolar Sunshine and more.
Cash sees the the music compilation as serving as a platform for creativity and connection among like-minded artists. “My goal for the series is to create a platform for artists to co-exist through the sounds of progressive R&B and hip-hop [while] crossing barriers of fashion, music, art, and culture,” Cash told Billboard. “I hope that ‘Love The Free’ can be seen as an art hub for people to find real artists who aren’t afraid to try something new and be themselves; [it’s] something that is lost today with social media. I just want to continue to share amazing music by true artists.”
The announcement included SZA’s contribution to the tape, called “Moodring,” which you can listen to below.
