In “Work The Middle,” Oakland rap artist Lil Debbie riffs off of both ’90s exercise video themes and the Aaliyah single “Rock The Boat,” which the chorus samples. Directed by Joe Dietsch & Louie Gibson, the song is the first single off of her EP California Sweetheart Part II. Different than the hell fire flow of most East Coast female rappers, Lil Debbie ‘s approach is Cali-girl stoner but still every bit as boss bitch confident as any of her peers.
