Los Angeles-based Miss Wax has announced an artist series, which will consist of jewellery collaborations with notable artists. The first effort is with artist and illustrator Sophia Chang, whose star has been rising like a rocket as of late (see her work with Puma here). Miss Wax has transformed her “Shaolin (whose meaning includes the moniker for Staten Island as anointed by by Wu Tang Clan) Praying Hands” illustration into a gold-plated charm. This item will launch on MissWax in December. Proceeds from the art series will be donated to Art Start, a program that works with youth populations to encourage artistic endeavors.
