Cynthia Rowley, a label founded in the early ’80s, while not of streetwear is certainly attuned to it and over the past few seasons deftly has managed to incorporate some of the signature looks of street sport into her line, which is know for its witty, often ’60s-mod-inspired looks. For the New York Fashion Week presentation, label officially launched an activewear collection for Spring 2015, and Rowley used her flair for street sport to create an overall presentation that smoothly ranged from mod to sport, with both sides of the equation referencing each other. Kudos to this label for managing to stay true to its ethos while at the same time giving nods to edgier fashion movements.
