NYFW: The Blonds Spring 2015

September 17, 2014. Leave a Comment

More than a runway presentation, The Blonds’ put forth an extravaganza that is very much a read on of-the-moment-future-fashion culture. If an idea is percolating in the creative collective conscious of style, The Blonds will not just bring it to the surface but blow it up so that it goes from everyday to a fabulous celebration. As such, the street-inspired braids that have seen a revival as of late are super sized, turning them into an item of reverence reflective of their cultural importance and influence. In this collection, the humble flannel shirt receives the same treatment as does the classic bodysuit silhouette. What your seeing is future vision and a glimpse at the blow up that is coming down the pike.
