Puma and Solange have announced the release of a second collection of footwear, featuring the brand’s Suede and XT2 silhouettes. Similar to the “Girls of Blaze,” the first Puma x Solange capsule, this collection pops with color and once again includes design input from Gerlan Marcel, Hisham Bharoocha and sister duo Darlene and Lizzy Okpo. The effort was announced on Solange’s music and culture blog, SaintHeron, which included the lookbook images featured here and an interview with the singer about the process. When asked why she chose the Suede and the XT2, Solange commented:
“I honestly couldn’t wait to get my hand on the Suede. The Suede is the classic, the goat, the queen for me when it comes to Puma. So that was a given! However I absolutely loved the XT2 as a silhouette and really wanted to get my hands on a great running shoe. I love a good running shoe that doesn’t make you have to sacrifice your style, especially for a night out with friends for real dancing!”
The first drop, entitled “Wild Wonder,” features three styles that will release on November 28th. The second, “Behind the Bazaar,” features two styles that will release on December 13th. Both drops will be available at select U.S. and global retailers, including Madison Beverly Hills in Los Angeles and Exodus Goods in New Orleans.
