Paris Vogue has come up with a clever fashion editorial for it’s December/January issues, featuring models posed as though they are boxed Barbie Dolls. Each is wearing one of 12 designer outfits with the box also including items and accessories the designer is known for. Fendi’s doll for example includes clip-on Monsters and Chanel’s features lipstick and perfume while the Saint Laurent box includes a guitar and speaker plus a disco ball. Moschino is also included and one has to guess that the Barbie-themed Spring 2015 collection may have inspired the idea for the editorial. Shot by Italian photographer Giampaolo Sgura, the shoot features models Magdalena Frackowiak and Elisabeth Erm.
On a side note, we see that black Barbie got the shaft, which, we can hear the model casting excuses from over here, “Oh, all the black Barbies the agency sent were too curvy for this concept….blah, blah, blah.”
