As directed by FKA Twigs for the YouTube Music Awards, the video for “Glass & Patron” speaks to her identity as a dancer. It’s an identity so deep that in the video, FKA Twigs births a whole troupe of backup dancers. The movement theme is a modern update on Vogueing, a New York house ball dance style, brought to prominence by Madonna’s song “Vogue”released in 1990. FKA’s take on the dance is far artsier and moodier and like many of her videos feels more connected to the current day performance art movement than the catchy look and sound of most videos that combine dance and song, whether featuring Madonna, Lady Gaga or Beyonce. Choreography in the video is by FKA Twigs, Benjamin Milan and Aaron Sillis. The dancers are Benjamin Milan, David Magnifique, Javier Ninja, Alex Mugler, Tamsier, Jamel Prodigy and Dominant,
