If there’s a women’s sneaker being made, chances are you will see it first on French blogger Ugly Mely’s website. Given her dedication to the category it’s good to she’s has brought to fruition a book on the topic, simply titled “Sneakers.” (And don’t quote us on this, but this could be the very first sneaker collector book written by a woman, which, finally! UPDATE: Oops, not, how could we?? There is also “Girls Got Kicks” by Lori Lobenstein, published in 2011!)
The book is a reveal of her personal collection and also includes input from prominent members of the sneaker world including Stan Smith, Michael Dupouy, Masta Lee among others, who reveal their five favorite sneakers styles. Currently the book is available (in French additions only at the moment) for pre-order on Amazon with a September 2nd ship date.
