Acne Studios has revealed its campaign images featuring as modeled by Frasse Johansson, the 11-year old son of the label’s creative director, Jony Johansson. The campaign is meant to emphasize fluidity in fashion and the crossing of gender lines, blah, blah, blah, but we can’t help but be focused on the front split hem featured on the pants (below). Suddenly that seems to be the “it” detail on pants. No doubt it’s not new-new, nothing in fashion ever is, but we wonder who is responsible for reigniting it this go around? We first saw it shown on Off White’s Autumn collection, but things tend to happen simultaneously because of our collective unconscious so maybe it’s just going around, catching on a bit like a thought-virus if you will.
