Australian label Discount Universe has loaded onto its Instagram feed an editorial featuring current season garments as shot by Zac Stone and featuring model Suzi Leenaars. While Discount’s famous sequin approach is still very much intact–as is the label’s love affair with pink, with this shoot the label takes a less busy approach to graphics, even stepping back from the artful lashed eye and mouth that literally became the eye of the storm in last week’s controversy over Miley Cyrus’s VMA finale costumes. All told it’s a look that could entice a wider audience of fashion lovers, who could see themselves mixing some of these pieces into their wardrobe as needed to make a bold or festive statement.
