H&M & Balmain Official Lookbook Revealed

October 15, 2015. Leave a Comment

After a false start last week when a seemingly random Instagram account posted all of the H&M and Balmain collaborative looks (and was strong-armed into taking them all down–whoops, too late!), H&M has gathered itself and revealed an official lookbook of items.

While the collabo will surely cause a shopping frenzy and quickly sell out, it’s hard not to conclude there is something less synergistic with this connection versus the chain’s partnership last year with Alexander Wang whose minimalist/athletic/street-inspired garments was probably a much easier translation for H&M.

That said, absolutely you can be sure we will be checking out the goods on launch day. One thing that is true about these collaborations, while there may be a ton of styled images leading up to the event, until you see the items in person and have a chance to touch and try on the garments, it’s very hard to get a feel for which item has pop and often there is that one magical item you didn’t even notice in the lookbooks that makes the whole trip worthwhile.

These items will launch at H&M stores and online on November 5th.
