Hardy Blechman created Maharishi in 1994 with a vision to create apparel with the functionality of military clothing updated with the modern appeal of streetwear. Maharishi achieved such success in the late ’90s with its Snopants, a straight fit cargo pant, featuring an large embroidery pattern on the back of the leg, which became the silhouettes signature.
As trends have waxed and waned, Blechman has always maintained his reputation as a connoisseur not just of all things camouflage, but also as a visionary who has remained consistent in the look and feel of his brand, along with a mission to produce apparel consciously. With the praise and accolades Maharishi received for this winter offerings, and the resurgence of looser silhouettes and earth tones (Yeezy Season 1 and 2), we believe Maharishi’s profile will be on the rise in 2016.
