M.I.A. has dealt with plenty of “men drama” as she has deemed it, and with her latest single, “Boom ADD,” details some of it, using a recording of her lawyer advising her on the NFL’s lawsuit against her as the intro. (All of which arose from her giving the finger during her performance with Madonna in 2012, it was eventually settled). The song is an extended take on her single “Boom Take,” from her album Matangi.
Not long ago, M.I.A. ran into trouble with another sports organization, French soccer team Paris St. German, which took offense with a parody version of the team’s jersey she was shown briefly wearing in her video for “Borders.”
