The name for Beyoncé’s upcoming collaboration with Topshop has been revealed as Ivy Park, according to the Beyhive, which uncovered a Topshop legal document (below), referencing the name.
Providing additional proof, the hive proceeded to dig up an image of Bey in an Ivy Park jersey and kneepads, worn in an interlude during her “Made in America” performance in September. How they managed that only the Beyhive knows because the interlude look wasn’t one of the widely photographed costumes she performed in.
The name of the line of course is a reference to the singer’s daughter, Blue Ivy. The choice to go with her middle name reflects an ongoing affinity Bey has with the number four (the date of her birth, wedding anniversary and probably all manner of things we aren’t privy too).
As for Park, it speaks to her Parkwood Entertainment company, which formed a partnership with Topshop in 2014 called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd. According to Wiki, Bey splits ownership of the company with Topshop.
One final piece of evidence comes via Bodyism fitness instructor and model Tammy Tansley’s biography, which includes a reference to her modeling Beyoncé’s “new fitness brand Ivy Park.”
Let it be said that the name won’t be fact until Topshop announces it officially and lord knows it may have changed since the document was filed, but all things considered it’d be hard for Bey to come up with a name more perfect.
Topshop in November 2015 did say the collaboration with Beyoncé would be ongoing and will include a complete range of apparel, footwear and accessories, which will launch globally in April. Some are speculating she may wear Ivy Park items during her upcoming Superbowl appearance and we say as long as Tidal’s not responsible for the roll out, Bey is probably good 😉
