The Blonds Tap Into The ’50s & Alice

February 23, 2016. Leave a Comment

The Blonds for its presentation for autumn 2016 was inspired by Alice in Wonderland as seen through a glamorous ’50s fashion lens. Much like the multi-layered tale,  the looks ranged from fanciful and delightfully femmy to those with a darker villainous edge. Some of the clothes included catch phrases from the surreal tale, like “Eat Me” and “Off With Your Hand,” a theme that was shared with the nail art, as conceptualized by CND nail artist, Jan Arnonld. As always, the show ended with The Blonds designers, Phillipe and David Blond, cheerily walking the runway hand in hand looking very much like a happy marriage personified.
