Canadian label DSquared2 showed a collection for autumn 2016 during Milan Fashion Week, mixing military, Victorian and samurai influences. It sounds like a lot on paper but as usual, very fierce and meticulous designers Dean and Dan Caten made it work, creating fresh new looks by pairing lacy black and white tops with military bottoms, adding additional flourish with Asian-influenced detailing like tassels and graphic stockings throughout. While the collection has a very cohesive feel and it’s tough to isolate out one particular item, the military cargo pants really popped out as the stars of the collection.
