Under his own namesake label, Columbian-born designer Esteban Cortázar presented a wide ranging collection during Paris Fashion Week including day-to-evening sporty minimalist silhouettes as well as chic and femmy evening looks for autumn 2016. Stand out looks include patchwork denim maxi skirts, cut out knit skirts and coats with fur shoulders fur shoulders.
Leading the charge on changing up traditional methods of showing and selling to the trade, the garments Cortázar showed on the runway had already been made available for purchase by buyers prior to the presentation. Show notes even included details on which garments were leading sales (not surprisingly, the patchwork denim and knit skirts).
If Esteban Cortázar is just now landing on your radar, besides his talent for design, he is known for famously stepping down from French label Ungaro when he refused to work with Lindsay Lohan when the company appointed her creative director of the brand in 2009.
