Rihanna has long been a big Manolo Blahnik booster and has been spotted in an array of the label’s designs for many years, long before every big fashion label was vying to have her name associated with their product. As such, the announcement that she is collaborating with the storied shoe label feels very much like a Cinderalla shoe finally finding its rightful owner.
Adding a dose of casual flair, the shoes’ color palette is inspired by denim blue and are detailed with sequins and graphics inspired by Rihanna’s tattoos. The capsule collection features six styles, including sandals, pumps and an over-the-knee boot that comes with a belt! Prices range from $767 for the sandals to $3,484 for that belted boot. The shoes will launch May 5th and will be available only at Manolo Blahnik’s stores in London, New York and Hong Kong.
The news was announced in British Vogue‘s April issue, which, natch, features Rihanna on the cover as photographed by Craig Dean.
