Beyoncé Formation Tour Costumes

April 28, 2016. Leave a Comment

In the months leading up to the kick off of her Formation tour last night in Miami, Beyoncé through her Lemonade and “Formation” visuasl had amassed the mother of all wardrobes, which no doubt served in part as an inspiration for her concert costumes. And indeed, many of the seven looks (all bodysuits) she premiered at her kick off concert in Miami last night spoke to the Southern Gothic feel of Lemonade, including and especially the cream-colored, high-collared Balmain bodysuit she wore as the second look of the show. We also saw a return of the all-over two-piece Gucci sets from the “Formation” video that caused everyone to lose their collective minds.

Reflecting a set list spanning her entire career (including “Me, Myself and I” from Destiny’s Child era), there were also costumes that were a complete departure from the look of the Lemonade video, and yet, even in the case of an Atsuko Kudo red latex bodysuit she performed “Crazy in Love” in, the costume included poofy sleeves that provided a link to the Victorian theme.

Check out all her costumes below, including the more relaxed looks she wore before the show.
