A Rihanna documentary is in the works, according to director Peter Berg, who will produce the film through his Film 45 production house. Simply titled “Rihanna,” the doc according to press will be stylistically inspired by the 1967 Bob Dylan rock documentary “Don’t Look Back.” and follow Rihanna “as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom.” The Dylan documentary covered the singer’s tour of England in 1965 so one would assume Rihanna’s documentary will also focus on her current ANTI tour. Just two days ago, Berg posted an image (below) of himself with Rihanna wearing an ANTI tour shirt, supporting the theory the documentary is in the process of being filmed.
Rihanna became acquainted with the director through her role on the film “Battleship,” which Berg directed. No official dates have been announced on Film 45’s site other than “coming soon.”
