UPDATE: Nike has released images of the collaboration, titled “NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing: Football Nouveau,” the collection is soccer-themed and reflects the designers love of dark glamour. The collection will launch June 2nd and will include N98 jackets for men and women and four different shoe silhouettes for men and one, included an updated take on the Tiempo 94. Rousteing in an interview with Vogue mentions a black bodycon dress so it appears there are additional items that have yet to be shown.
Only the best will do for NikeLab, in addition to ongoing collaborative work with Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci, the Paris-based designer for Balmain, Olivier Rousteing just announced via Instagram plans for an upcoming collaboration with the Portland-based brand. No product images yet, similar to the initial collaborative roll out with Tisci, what we’re seeing in the form of an “OR” gold shield is likely the logo that will be featured on upcoming product. Whatever it is, Rousteling promises it will be “#epic.
