New Balance is celebrating the arrival of its new 009 silhouette with a world tour, which kicked off in New York this past weekend. Borrowing construction details from the brand’s classic 998 and 999 silhouettes, the 009 has been updated with new technical and material stories. Additional stops on the tour include Berlin, Seoul and Los Angeles, where local street culture will be highlighted with events featuring a combination of DJs, musical performance and “virtual reality” videos.
Starting out with three colorways and priced at $110, the New Balance 009 is set for a July 1st launch date.
