In the midst of the European leg of her tour and having recently appeared naked (in wax form) in Kanye West’s “Famous” video, Rihanna has released her own video for the song “Sledgehammer as directed by Floria Sigismondi in support of summer blockbuster “Star Trek Beyond.” Draped in an Rick Owens orange gown and sporting tribal-inspired makeup and an edgy top knot, Rihanna belts out a pop anthem as sci-fi-special effects swirl in and around the singer.
Shot in the Trona Pinnacles in California, the video is the first to be shot entirely on Imax and will be shown in theaters in the lead up to its release on July 22nd.
