Fila has been making lots of cute moves lately, highlighted by a recent collaboration with very hot Russian streetwear brand Gosha Rubchinskiy. Adding on to its collaborative efforts, the brand has announced a collaboration with Brookly sneaker boutique Alumni on the athletic brand’s classic Overpass jogger, using the ever popular Jamaican beef patty as its inspiration. It’s a fun idea that makes sense given the boutique’s location in Brooklyn, a borough known for its very big Caribbean population, which translates to tons of restaurants serving up beef (and vegie) patties.
The shoes feature the same yellow color as the beef patty, as well as indentations along the toe mimicking the crust of the pastry, and a sole with an all-over patty graphic. The rugged workshoe laces add a rugged contrast and coordinate well with the color of the shoe.
As part of the collaboration, Alumni cooked up a video showing people having their first experience eating a beef patty. Sort of amazing they could find so many in New York, but very fun nonetheless.
This shoe launches in men’s sizes July 9th at Alumni.
