Natalie Golonka created Jungle Gurl with the desire to create swimwear that empowered women to love their bodies. Since its inception Jungle Gurl’s lookbooks are all about showing women as fly and comfortable in their own skin as opposed to sensual and seductive. Reflective of the label’s aesthetic, we still remember its first lookbook (premiered on our old-home, Highsnobette, in 2009) featuring a group of women casually hanging out on their bikes, wearing bikinis paired with sneakers.
