Cara Delevingne has landed the September 2016 cover for British Vogue, her fifth with the publication. Shot by Mario Testino, the editorial comments in part on the current craze over sport-inspired fashion, in one image pairing Adidas Originals track pants with a Balmain top and white heels.
Frankly, it’s a look we’ve always adored and one brings to mind that widely distributed image of fashion blogger Alexandra Spencer shot wearing a hockey jersey and heels by Tommy Ton during Sydney Fashion Week in 2012, a time when the athleisure look first began to assert itself as a global fashion trend.
